I3ntegrate is a charity aiming to reduce the risk- and increase the protective-factors that influence the mental health and wellbeing of young people in formal education in Cambridge City who are at highest risk of mental health struggles through a holistic, free-to-access programme of activity.
At the heart of all that I3ntegrate does are three core values:
INCLUSIVE – We believe that every member of society should be valued and treated with respect, and given the opportunity to grow and thrive regardless of their background or current circumstance.
INSPIRING – We believe that everyone has their own great potential, and we provide inspiring provision, people and environments to help individuals to see their own value, and flourish.
INDIVIDUAL – We understand that individuals and communities are unique, and their challenges and needs change. We consult with our communities, to ensure that our provision remains relevant, and take equitable approaches so that everyone is given the opportunity to grow and thrive.
The experience of mental health problems by adolescents and children can impact their social, physical, behavioural, emotional and cognitive development, and can have effects into adulthood. The needs of young people experiencing struggles with their mental health are not being met due to increasing pressures of statutory and voluntary services. There are hundreds of thousands of young people on waiting lists, with less than half having had any touchpoint with Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) in 2022/23. Young people are often not receiving support until they reach crisis point.[i]
The I3 Hub is I3ntegrate’s provision designed to meet the needs of those who form part of the immediate ecosystem around young people attending formal education settings within Cambridge City. This ecosystem looks different for each young person, but might include parents, carers, guardians, friends and other family members. By supporting a young person’s immediate ecosystem, we hope to reduce their risk factors (factors which threaten a young person’s development and wellbeing) and increase their protective factors (factors which mitigate against risk factors).
The I3 Hub is an online platform through which free courses, events and other resources are advertised and hosted. Some of the events and courses are organised and run by I3tegrate, others are run by trusted partners. Everything on the I3 Hub is free of charge.
If you are looking to help yourself to help the young person in your life, I3 Hub is here for you, free of charge and free of judgement. Check out our Courses & Events page to get started, or get in touch with us through our Contact page.
